MailPoet lets you export your email campaign statistics as a CSV or Excel (XLSX) file. This makes it easy to analyze campaign performance in a spreadsheet, share reports with your team, or keep records offline.
Prerequisites
Before you can export statistics, make sure:
- You are running MailPoet 5.24.0 or later.
- Engagement analytics tracking is enabled. Go to MailPoet > Settings > Advanced and set the Engagement analytics tracking option to Full.
For the per-recipient export (individual subscriber data), you also need:
- MailPoet Premium installed and activated.
- A MailPoet plan that includes detailed analytics (Business, Agency, or Creator plan).
Export Types
There are two types of exports available from a single campaign’s statistics page:
- Campaign summary: A single row of aggregate statistics for the email (opens, clicks, bounces, etc.). This export is available in the free version of MailPoet.
- Per recipient: One row per subscriber with individual engagement data. This export requires a MailPoet plan with detailed analytics.
How to Export Campaign Summary Statistics
- Go to MailPoet > Emails.
- Find the sent email you want to export statistics for and click Statistics (or click the open/click rate numbers).
- On the statistics page, click the Export button in the top-right area.
- Under the Campaign summary section, click Export as CSV or Export as Excel (XLSX).
- The file will download automatically.

What Is Included in the Campaign Summary Export
The exported file contains a single row with the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Newsletter ID | The internal ID of the email |
| Subject | The email subject line |
| Campaign name | The campaign name, if one was set |
| Sent at | The date and time the email was sent |
| Total sent | The total number of emails sent |
| Unique opens | The number of unique subscribers who opened the email |
| Machine opens | The number of machine-opens detected |
| Unique clicks | The number of unique subscribers who clicked a link |
| Bounces | The number of emails that bounced |
| Unsubscribes | The number of subscribers who unsubscribed |
| Revenue | Total WooCommerce revenue attributed to this email |
| Currency | The currency of the revenue |
| Orders | The number of WooCommerce orders attributed to this email |
How to Export Per-Recipient Statistics
The per-recipient export provides detailed engagement data for each subscriber who received the email. Because this export can include a large number of rows, it runs as a background task.
- Go to MailPoet > Emails.
- Click Statistics for the sent email you want to analyze.
- Click the Export button.
- Under the Per recipient section, click Recipients as CSV or Recipients as Excel (XLSX).
- A notice will appear confirming the export has been queued. The download will start automatically when the file is ready.

If you do not have a plan that includes detailed analytics, clicking these options will display an upgrade prompt instead.
What Is Included in the Per-Recipient Export
The exported file contains one row per subscriber with the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Subscriber ID | The internal subscriber ID |
| The subscriber’s email address | |
| First name | The subscriber’s first name |
| Last name | The subscriber’s last name |
| Status | The subscriber’s current status (e.g., subscribed, unsubscribed) |
| Opened | Whether the subscriber opened the email |
| First open at | The date and time of the subscriber’s first open |
| Open count | The total number of times the subscriber opened the email |
| Machine opened | Whether the open was detected as a machine-open |
| Clicked | Whether the subscriber clicked a link |

| Bounced | Whether the email bounced for this subscriber |
| Unsubscribed | Whether the subscriber unsubscribed after receiving this email |
Exporting Statistics for Multiple Campaigns at Once
If you need to export summary statistics for several email campaigns in one file, you can use the bulk export feature from the emails listing page. This is a premium feature that requires detailed analytics.
- Go to MailPoet > Emails.
- Select the emails you want to export by checking the boxes next to them.
- From the bulk actions dropdown, choose Export statistics.
- The export runs in the background and the CSV file downloads automatically when ready.

Note: Bulk export is available in CSV format only.
Troubleshooting
- The Export button is not visible: Make sure engagement analytics tracking is set to Full in MailPoet > Settings > Advanced.
- The download does not start: Try using a different browser. Some browser extensions or settings may block file downloads.
- Per-recipient options show an upgrade prompt: This export type requires a MailPoet plan with detailed analytics. Learn more about MailPoet plans.
