Update: MailPoet now requires PHP version 7.4 or higher. We strongly recommend upgrading to PHP 8.5 or above.
Our plugin no longer supports older PHP versions, and MailPoet may not work properly in those cases.
Some have already reached the ” end of life“. For example, PHP version 8.1 security updates were provided only until the end of 2025, and PHP 8.2 will only receive security updates until 1st January 2027.

- cPanel: Most cPanel-based hosting provider allows you to update the PHP version. Simply search for PHP Version Manager or the PHP Configuration option and click on it.
If your host is not listed, please contact their technical support and ask for your PHP version to be updated. If they’re unable to help you, consider changing hosts. Hosts make it easy today to switch.

If something goes wrong on your website:
- Simply revert to the previous PHP version;
- If you want to figure out the problem, disable all plugins one by one to see which one causes it. Look for plugins that have not been updated in the last 6 months;
- Try a different theme too. Make sure your own theme has been updated recently;

- Ask your host for help. A good host can help you.
